I have built my BattleTech pages with one purpose in mind, to share my love of the game with the rest of the public. The World Wide Web provides the forum to do just this. My favorite aspect of the game is the rich storytelling environment it provides, my units, The Vanguard SuperCluster and The California Brigade are just my way of adding to and participating in the BattleTech universe. As a rule, I don't generally allow others to "join my forces" or become affiliated with my units. This eliminates the headache of administration for me and allows me to retain a certain level of control over my creations. My philosophy on the content of my pages is to have the material presented integrate as seamlessly as possible into the BattleTech universe. As an example of this, when the Refusal War happened, I made some changes in my Vanguard units to reduce their size, because a unit their size would grossly distort the size of the current Clan Wolf in Exile. I have recieved many e-mails asking me how I make it seem so real, and I guess the key is to follow the storyline closely and make adjustments to your units to fit in. I don't make my units all that powerful, and on some occasions I have had my head handed to me in battle by my friends Obake and Itaro. Storyline continuity is also the reason I do not allow others to "join my forces". if I added everyone who asked, I could singlehandedly conquer the Inner Sphere and the Clans. :) I also feel the need to comment on the rules on my e-mail page. Most of those conditions are there for a reason, if I say not to e-mail my about something, most likely it is because I do not have the answers or the knowledge you seek. I hope this commentary clears up some of the confusion on my pages and I hope you enjoy browsing them.         Sincerely, |
