Clan Military Organization

Unit Organization

The Clan military is organized by a strict system of units. The following is a breakdown by level of the Clan military from the smallest organizational unit to the largest unit.

• Point
  • 1 BattleMech, or
  • 2 Fighters, or
  • 5 Elementals
• Star / Nova
  • Star - 5 Point level units
  • Nova - 5 Points of BattleMechs and 5 Points of Elementals
• Binary / Trinary / SuperNova
  • Binary - 2 Stars
  • Trinary - 3 Stars
  • SuperNova - 2 Novas
• Cluster - A Cluster consists of a mix of 4-6 Binary/Trinary/SuperNova level units
• Galaxy - A Galaxy consists of 4-6 Cluster level units

Clan Ranks

The Clan ranks, from highest rank to lowest rank, are shown below.

• ilKhan

  War Leader of all Clans, only elected in times of crisis or war.

• Khan / saKhan

  Senior and Junior Leaders of a Clan

• Galaxy Commander

  Commands a Galaxy

• Star Colonel

  Commands a Cluster

• Star Captain

  Commands a Binary, Trinary, or Supernova

• Star Commander

  Commands a Star or Nova

• Point Commander / Mechwarrior

  A Point Commander, applicable to Aerospace and Elementals only, commands a Point. Mechwarrior is the rank given to 'Mech pilots since a point is only a single BattleMech
